It doesn’t always take long for the hectic pace of life to catch up with us. Between work and life responsibilities, making time for a family getaway is more important than ever. When you could use a healthy dose of fresh air and scenic surroundings, a trip to Joshua Tree promises to check every box on the list. The Serenity Escape is a perfect family friendly house for exploring Joshua Tree.
I lost count of how many times we have been back to this lovely airbnb hosted by Oded. About five years ago, while searching for the perfect desert oasis home we stumbled upon the Serenity Escape and we have been back to this lovely home every year ever since. There is something about the Serenity Escape that gave us an immediate home-away-from-home feel that we loved. If you’re planning on eloping, having a wedding, or just a weekend getaway in Joshua Tree, the Serenity Escape has everything to offer. I highly recommend staying at the Serenity Escape, especially for those who truly appreciate beautifully designed homes.
Located between 3 of the most significant sites in the Joshua Tree area – Joshua Tree National Park, The Integratron and Pappy & Harriet’s (Pioneertown), Serenity Escape is ideal in that it feels isolated, yet just a few minutes drive from everything, allowing you to experience the desert at its best.
We love that the house is located off the beaten path, on a quiet dirt road far enough away from the nearest neighbors. Very private! The secure surrounding gate made us feel like we were in our own little piece of paradise. Their state-of-the-art security system and surrounding gate made us feel very safe in seclusion!
As soon as we entered the gate we felt at home. This place is immaculately put together with a great design and attention to detail! You can tell that the owner, Oded, really put his heart into designing this lovely home! The craftsmanship is flawless and the decorations are extremely tasteful. During our stay we never felt we were in a rental; truly wishing that this house were ours!
One of our favorite features of this Airbnb is the multiple outdoor spaces for lounging, sunbathing, and dining. The design compliments the barren landscape around you; the vibes is tranquil and modern.
The expansive outdoor area features multiple integrated gardens and includes a pool, a heated jacuzzi, a bathtub, and a cabana. Additional decks on both sides of the house provide ample space suitable for intimate events like group yoga retreat or wedding reception.
The outdoor area is the ultimate chill zone. It has everything that we need for every member of our family to enjoy a fun and meaningful desert escape.
The patio area has comfortable couches and fire pit! We watched extraordinary sunsets and enjoyed morning sun streaming through the patio while listening to music on outdoor speakers! If you get a little cold at night while stargazing, you can heat up with the outdoor fire pit they have.
Entering the home, the first thing that caught our eyes is the stylish, sophisticated interior and the view of the surrounding Joshua Trees and desert landscape. The decor is stunning, with every amenity and detail kept in mind.
The Serenity Escape has been thoughtfully curated and designed for some seriously gorgeous aesthetics. This home is a must for those who appreciate beautiful architecture and modern design.
The Serenity Escape features a spacious kitchen for gourmet cooking, open layout living and dining area! Their chef’s dream kitchen is fully stocked and equipped. This was perfect for cooking family dinners without having to worry about purchasing kitchen staples (salt & pepper, oil, sugar, sauces,…) or worrying about proper kitchenware!
The open floor plan is so great for cooking and relaxing. There are windows throughout the house to let in natural light and dessert views.
We loved playing some Boney M. music on the record player and turning up the volume on the surround system (indoor and outdoor).
The house also provided games, towels for the jacuzzi, bamboo toothbrush, earth friendly tooth paste, and high-end shampoo/conditioner/body wash. They thought of everything to make it a stress free family vacay in the desert.
The home features 2 bedrooms. The two bedrooms with their own bathrooms is such a bonus. The bedrooms had comfortable mattresses and cozy but efficient closets!
Each room has an eclectic design from midcentury modern decor to unique little Joshua Tree treasures scattered throughout the home.
Every last inch of this home has been thoughtfully curated, both inside and out. It invited us to slow down and breathe in the tranquil desert surroundings. From peaceful sunrises on the patio overlooking ancient Joshua Trees to a tranquil soak in the hot tub, we enjoyed every moment at the Serenity Escape.
Soak in the hot tub, take advantage of the outdoor grill, roast marshmallow over the fire pit or relax under a sky full of star, this home is just the place to slow down and recharge. Your family members and friends will want to stay for more than just a few nights to enjoy them all!
